Playoffs? No Chance for Yomiuri Sunday, April 25th, 2027 The Yomiuri Giants certainly didn't have what it takes to make a postseason run this year. The team has been mathematically eliminated from contention. Yomiuri last appeared in the postseason in 2023. This is their 4th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 12 times in their 15-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Giants have missed the playoffs 7 times. Yomiuri last won the Japan Series Championship in 2020. |
