Saitama Seibu's Hidekazu Miyashita Injured Saturday, April 24th, 2027 Earlier today, Saitama Seibu reliever Hidekazu Miyashita had to leave the game against Chiba Lotte because of an injury. Team officials are reporting that he has shoulder inflammation and will miss 5 months of play. Miyashita was hurt throwing a pitch and was unable to continue playing. He will be evaluated this afternoon by team physicians. Running the numbers on Miyashita for the year, he has made 18 relief appearances, recorded 2 saves and compiled a 0-0 won-lost mark with a 2.83 ERA. In pitching 28.2 innings, he has totaled 36 strikeouts and 16 walks. |
