Week's Best Player Honored by LBL Monday, March 22nd, 2027 So far in his young career, Bill Riel has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Lester B. Person League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 18-year-old Niagara Stars first baseman hit at a torrid .476 clip as he collected 10 hits in 21 at-bats, 3 home runs, 8 RBIs and 5 runs scored. This year Riel is hitting .371 with 5 home runs and 14 RBIs in 16 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .506 with 14 walks and 11 runs scored. |
