Sanderson Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Kansas Sunday, May 16th, 2027 After 29 games, Roy Sanderson had his hitting streak ended abruptly today by Kansas at Brutes Ballpark. The Razorbacks center fielder failed to get a hit in 4 at-bats and his brief fling with fame has come to a halt. But Sanderson seemed to care less -- it didn't matter as Arkansas took a 7-3 victory from the Jayhawks. Sanderson didn't dwell on the streak saying, "It was good while it lasted. If it had to end, I'm glad it ended with a victory." In the current season, Sanderson has put up a .337 batting average with 65 hits, 11 home runs, 37 runs batted in and scored 48 runs. |
