Skipper McBean Axed by Eugene Wednesday, August 25th, 2027 The Eugene Emeralds are in need of a manager. They fired Ben McBean today. Contacted at home by BNN, McBean admitted that there was some tension over his departure, but that it was "probably for the best." When pressed, McBean was bullish about his future: "We had our ups and we had our downs, but right now I am focusing on the next stage of my career... wherever that may be. I still love the game of baseball and still think I can do the job. The Emeralds are not the only team in the world." Eugene officials gave no word on who the new skipper would be. |
