Robinson Bashes 3 HR for Bel Air
Tuesday, August 24th, 2027
Three home runs in a game doesn't happen often. When it does it is usually something special to celebrate. But Joe Robinson of Bel Air couldn't really celebrate it. In spite of his career day, the Princes lost to the Blue Spaders 8-7. However, he can celebrate that he joined a select group of players who have hit three home runs in a single game. He powered three into the stands today against the Kansas City Blue Spaders.
In all he was 3-for-4 against Kansas City with 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
Robinson told reporters after the game, "It's rare that you actually try to hit a home run. Most of the time you fail, if you really try to hit one. But today I tried on the last one."
His manager added, "He is blessed with a natural home run swing. He gets the ball up in the air real quickly. It's just a shame we couldn't win the game, too. I'm sure it spoils the day a little for him. Joe is quite a competitor."
Joe Robinson hit a two-run home run off Chang-wei Zhou in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Chang-wei Zhou in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Chang-wei Zhou in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and walked in the 9th.
Robinson is hitting .400 for the season with 5 home runs, 26 RBIs and 20 runs scored. He has 44 hits in 110 at-bats and played in 47 games.
