Buck O'Neil League Picks Top Player Monday, August 23rd, 2027 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Buck O'Neil League, but last week Wladimir Esser of the Chippewa River Chiefs reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Esser rocked opposing pitching for a .455 average (10-for-22), 2 home runs and 8 RBIs to come away with the award. For the season Esser has produced 68 hits in 198 at-bats for a .343 average with 4 home runs and gotten on base at a .397 clip. |
