Rainbird Blisters Grand Canyon Wednesday, July 28th, 2027 No matter what the Grand Canyon ValleyCats threw at him today, Mo Rainbird hit it. He easily handled ValleyCats pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Knights to a 11-3 triumph at Grand Canyon Valley Park. He told BNN reporters in the postgame interview, "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball." The Grand Canyon skipper quipped, "Well, the next time we might just do that... blindfold him... and then pitch him differently, just to be sure." Mo Rainbird hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. For the season Rainbird is hitting .268, batted in 22 runs with 1 home run and 32 runs scored. |
