BOL Top Pitcher for May Picked Tuesday, June 1st, 2027 Any time a rookie makes a splash on the scene, it's got to be great for his career potential. Just ask Cristo Hernández, who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The Baltimore Blue Claws reliever, 22, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .156 average and walked away with the Buck O'Neil League Pitcher of the Month award for May. Hernández posted a 4-0 mark and a 1.03 ERA in no relief appearances. In 35 innings, he had no saves, 48 strikeouts, and 12 walks. So far this year Hernández has been credited with no saves, registered a 2.85 ERA and struck out 63 in 47.1 innings. He also has a 4-2 record. |
