Matsumoto's Strong Week Earns BOL Trophy Monday, May 24th, 2027 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Buck O'Neil League, but last week Akihiro Matsumoto of the Coney Island Cyclones reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Matsumoto rocked opposing pitching for a .440 average (11-for-25), 2 home runs and 3 RBIs to come away with the award. So far this year Matsumoto is batting .353 with 3 home runs. |
