No Recovery For Hellcats Castillo, Setback Forces Him Out

Luis Castillo's baseball career is almost certainly over according to his doctors. The 24-year-old Jacksonville Hellcats starting pitcher was given the dreadful news after suffering a setback in his rehabilitation from a a torn labrum. A Hellcats team official, speaking unofficially, was quoted by reporters as saying, "For all intents and purposes, his career is over."
Since joining the league, Castillo has compiled an ERA of 3.20 with a career record of 8-4. He has 129 strikeouts in 107 innings and has held opponents to a .219 batting average.
