Dreadful Season Sees Playoff Hopes Dashed for Newark Thursday, August 12th, 2027 As bad as the Newark Jail Birds have been this season, some may still find it hard to believe that this early in the season, the team is already officially eliminated from playoff contention. Newark last appeared in the postseason in 2021. This is their 6th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 13 times in their 15-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Jail Birds have missed the playoffs 8 times. |
