ACL Names Best Player Monday, August 2nd, 2027 25-year-old Shumei Fujimoto made a few Riverside headlines during this past week as the rookie center fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Alexander Cartwright League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 9 hits in 14 at-bats to put up a .643 average. Fujimoto collected 1 home run, 5 RBIs and scored 5 runs. This year Fujimoto has hit 1 home run and posted a .478 batting average. |
