League KO's Goers-Defenders Players with 2-Game Suspensions Thursday, July 15th, 2027 You would have thought you were at a hockey game yesterday at Goers Field. A free-for-all broke out when Benedikt Stites of Temple and Koichi Yamasaki of West Coast rushed one another on the field and had to be restrained by umpires and teammates. Few blows landed, but it was enough for them to be ejected from the game. Today both teams received notification from the league office that the two players would be suspended for 2 games. Stites has a .152 average and a .200 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 10 hits, no home runs and driven in 4 runs. This year Yamasaki has made 7 relief appearances with 1 save. In 7.2 innings, he has fanned 2 hitters and recorded no wins and no losses with a 3.52 ERA. |
