Hughes Honored by Alexander Cartwright League Monday, May 31st, 2027 25-year-old Ty Hughes made a few Wisconsin Dells headlines during this past week as the rookie catcher proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Alexander Cartwright League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 10 hits in 21 at-bats to put up a .476 average. Hughes collected 2 home runs, 13 RBIs and scored 7 runs. Hughes is batting .265 this season in 45 games with 3 home runs, 35 RBIs and 25 runs scored. He has 40 hits in 151 at-bats. |
