Takahashi Sizzles with 20-Game Batting Streak Wednesday, September 29th, 2027 The Aeropostales won the game today, but you would have been hard pressed to find anyone talking about it. The focus seemed to be on second baseman Tetsui Takahashi extending his hitting streak to 20 games by going 1-for-3 in the game. "Sure we are happy that we won, but seeing Tetsui extend his streak was also special," said a jubilant Indian Wells manager. "He's a special player who is capable of doing some amazing things at the plate." For the record, the Aeropostales defeated the Champaign Chiefs 7-1 at Stars Field. Tetsui Takahashi walked in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th and doubled in the 7th. To date this year Takahashi is batting .348 with 17 home runs. |
