Today at The War Dome the Billings right fielder really burned Chicago pitching, going 5-for-5 in the Mustangs 16-1 triumph. "When he's seeing the ball well," his skipper told reporters, "he can probably stroke a base hit blindfolded." Xing-peng Ran singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, walked in a run in the 5th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run single in the 8th. Ran is hitting .287 this year with 1 home run and 17 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .357, 17 walks and scored 24 times. |
