Austin's Thompson Snaps up August Batting Award Wednesday, September 1st, 2027 Wilford Thompson put together a good August to earn the Blake Camden League Batter of the Month prize. A virtual unknown, he made the most of his chance to prove to Austin officials that he belongs on the big league roster. The Bats left fielder posted a .368 batting average with 5 home runs, 25 RBIs and 16 runs scored. So far this season, Thompson has recorded a .310 batting average with 93 hits, 20 home runs, 71 RBIs, 69 runs scored and a .401 OBP. |
