Chave Bashes 5 Base Hits Monday, August 30th, 2027 "Ever since I picked up my first bat my coaches were always saying to keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing... just make contact and ya never know what'll happen," Fort Worth's Toby Chave told reporters after the game. "That's all I did today. I made contact and it turned out well." It definitely turned out well for Chave today as he collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats against El Paso. It turned out well for his team, too, as the Cats knocked off the Diablos 14-6 at Hell Stadium. Toby Chave singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Ralph Whitehead in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 9th. For the year Chave has hit at a .276 clip with 28 RBIs, 9 home runs and 25 runs scored. |
