Ugly Incident Ends in 2-Game Suspension Tuesday, August 24th, 2027 "Deplorable conduct will not be tolerated in this league, especially if it is directed toward our umpires." That was the gist of the league commissioner's notification letter to the Chicago Titans organization advising them that shortstop Quentin Place had been suspended for 2 games for his heated confrontation with the home plate umpire in yesterday's game with Minneapolis. He became furious over a called third strike. This season Place is batting .208 with 1 home run. |
