5 Hits for Aeropostales Hounsell Tuesday, August 24th, 2027 After the Indian Wells 10-8 victory over Coronado and his 5-hit day first baseman Adam Hounsell told BNN beat writers, "It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college ball, two hits in a game are very good. Three or four hits even better, five or more are out of sight ... and if it is in pro ball, it is really something special." The 22-year-old player gained that distinction today at Stars Field with a spectacular 5 for 5 game against the Coronado Phantoms. The skipper of the Aeropostales spoke glowingly of Hounsell, telling BNN writers, "His swing is getting there. We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Adam did that to perfection today." Adam Hounsell hit a two-run home run off Alberto Rivera in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off <br>Kawanari Uchida in the 8th. To date, Hounsell has collected 179 hits for a .354 average. He has posted 36 home runs, scored 111 runs and driven in 126 runs. |
