Tanaka Bangs Out 6 Base Hits Sunday, June 13th, 2027 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Masami Tanaka of the Detroit Death Stars. Tanaka went on a tear at The Death Star and cracked hit after hit off Chicago pitching. When the dust settled on the diamond, the 26-year-old catcher had a career 6-for-6 day and something he will long remember. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but I don't think I'll tell 'em we lost," he joked in the BNN postgame interview. Tanaka got the accolades today, but the Chicago Titans walked off the field with a 17-14 win. Masami Tanaka doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Francisco Miráz in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. Thus far this year Tanaka has hit .347 with 7 home runs and 39 RBIs. |
