Hernández 5-for-6 for Freeze Thursday, June 3rd, 2027 Augusto Hernández exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Anchorage Municipal Stadium. The Minneapolis third baseman had a field day in the 9-7 triumph over the Anchorage Rubber Ducks, finishing 5-for-6. "My hitting philosophy is pretty simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Well, Hernández must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too. It was one of his best days ever with the bat. Augusto Hernández singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. Batting .323 to date, Hernández has no home runs and 30 RBIs. |
