Bombers Reliever Mollet Hurt Saturday, May 22nd, 2027 Michel Mollet at first refused to leave today's Pasadena-Bronx game after he suffered shoulder inflammation while throwing a pitch. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I want to be on the field," the feisty Bronx reliever said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Mollet out of action for 7 months. This year Mollet has made 13 relief appearances with 8 saves. In 22.1 innings, he has fanned 18 hitters and recorded 2 wins and 1 loss with a 2.01 ERA. |
