Jared Thornton Out 4 Months Monday, May 3rd, 2027 Jared Thornton at first refused to leave today's Reno-Austin game after he suffered a ruptured finger tendon while throwing a pitch. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I want to be on the field," the feisty Austin reliever said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Thornton out of action for 4 months. So far this year Thornton has nailed down no saves. His won-lost record is 1-2 with a 5.40 ERA. |
