No Recovery For Mafia Maruyama, Career Ends Wednesday, December 15th, 2027 Doctors told Seitaro Maruyama at the outset that his injury was potentially career-ending. As it happens, they were right. The New York right fielder informed his team that he would have to give up baseball and retire. Maruyama's injury, a torn posterior cruciate ligament, was just too severe for him to continue his career as a player. The 32-year-old Maruyama told reporters he hopes to remain in baseball in some capacity in the Mafia organization. His career stats show that Maruyama has batted .301 and connected for 294 home runs. |
