Injury Worsens, Return Delayed For Bandits Gould
Thursday, November 11th, 2027
"It's worse than we thought." That was the news from the Bandits clubhouse today as it was learned that starting pitcher Maurice Gould will be out for an added 3 months as a result of a recent injury. His treatment for a torn flexor tendon in his elbow will have to be extended. Initially it didn't seem the injury was a major concern, but the Montreal starting pitcher told team trainers of some discomfort yesterday morning, and upon examination it was determined to be a more serious injury. "We'd rather take this thing slowly and make sure Maurice gets back onto the field healthy," said the team's head trainer.

A check of his career stats reveals Gould has chalked up 253 wins and 116 losses with 3718 strikeouts and a 3.25 ERA. Opposing teams have put up a .246 batting average against him.
