Edmonton CF Edgar Smith Injured Monday, September 20th, 2027 The Edmonton Eskimos were dealt a severe blow when Edgar Smith was hurt making a defensive play recently in a game against the San Francisco Earthquakes. After the game, the team trainer reported Smith might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 33-year-old center fielder out for the rest of the season with a fractured foot. They indicated it would take Smith at least 3-4 weeks to heal. This season Smith is batting .287 with 17 home runs. His totals include 62 RBIs and 66 runs scored. |
