Thurman Munson League Names Rookie of Month Wednesday, September 1st, 2027 Shunso Fukuda earned August's Rookie of the Month honors in the Thurman Munson League for last month's performance. The boyish Quebec first baseman might be wet behind the ears, but he's proving that he has what it takes to play at this level. Fukuda hit .316 with 7 home runs, 23 RBIs and 20 runs scored this past month on his way to winning the award. In the current season, Fukuda has put up a .286 batting average with 139 hits, 34 home runs, 94 runs batted in and scored 71 runs. |
