Eureka Second Baseman Hurt Thursday, July 29th, 2027 The Hornets received bad news this morning. Juan Jose Cortéz will miss 5-6 weeks due to a quad strain. He sustained the injury in the Eureka-Maple game while running the bases. "I'm disappointed more than anything," he told reporters later in the day. "You can't help your team on the bench," Cortéz sighed. "I'll do the rehab work and hope for a quick recovery." For the year Cortéz has hit at a .318 clip with 59 RBIs, 17 home runs and 47 runs scored. |
