Pat Bancroft Gets Hit Number 2500 Tuesday, July 20th, 2027 The box score from yesterday's game will show that Maple beat the Oakland Storm Chasers, 6-3. It will also show that designated hitter Pat Bancroft went 3-for-5 for the Marauders. It will not show, however, that Bancroft reached the 2500-hit mark for his career. The 37-year-old Bancroft reflected on the achievement after the game. He mused: "In one respect, it's a real milestone, I guess. Yet, it's just a base hit like any other base hit." Looking at his career stats, Bancroft is batting .313 and has totaled 195 home runs. |
