Trouble in Jersey, Verity Suffers Setback Friday, July 16th, 2027 Ron Verity is hurting again, just a few days into his treatment for a strained hip muscle. Apparently the injury worsened, so the Jesters sent the 32-year-old third baseman back to the doctors for reexamination. Verity told them that the pain had gotten much worse in recent days. It was confirmed that the injury was indeed much more severe that first thought. He was sent to a specialist, who felt that treatment would be longer than first diagnosed. Verity will now miss a minimum of 1-2 weeks. This year Verity is hitting .326 with 13 home runs and 44 RBIs in 59 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .387 with 21 walks and 32 runs scored. |
