Smashing Success: Kwon Wallops 3 HR Wednesday, June 23rd, 2027 Chun-yeong Kwon, the Cabo San Lucas center fielder, blasted three homers today at Celestrial Fields at Hermann Park in the Toreros 13-5 victory against the Edmonton Eskimos. For the game, Chun-yeong Kwon scored 4 times and knocked in 6 runs. When he hit his last home run, his teammates, hearing the crack of the bat, leaped off the bench and rushed on the field to greet the jubilant Kwon, when he reached home plate. In the clubhouse after the game, he gleefully said to the press, "It was just one game, but it sure was a lot of fun -- 3-for-3, three roundtrippers and a win. What a day!" Kwon is batting at a .283 pace this season, picking up 63 hits in 223 at-bats with 17 home runs, 43 RBIs and 41 runs scored. |
