Gould Sidelined for 7-8 Months
Thursday, June 10th, 2027
The Montreal Bandits were dealt a severe blow when Maurice Gould was hurt throwing a pitch recently in a game against the Chicago Hitmen. After the game, the team trainer reported Gould might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 41-year-old starting pitcher out for the rest of the season with a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. They indicated it would take Gould at least 7-8 months to heal.

In 11 starts this season, Gould has picked up 3 wins while suffering 4 losses. He has pitched 71.2 innings, allowed 100 hits, struck out 70 and posted a 5.15 ERA.
