Hornets Galindo Smacks 5 Hits
Tuesday, May 18th, 2027
It wasn't poetic justice. Luis Galindo of the Hornets had a terrific 5-hit game today, really socking it to the Georgia Grays, but his team didn't win the game. In the clubhouse after the 9-8 loss, he moaned to the press, "Hey, I don't want to sound ungrateful, but something is missing here. When you have a great game you should win the game, too." And he definitely had an unforgettable day in the batter's box, ripping out 5 hits in 5 at-bats. The manager for the Hornets sympathized with his right fielder and told BNN reporters after the game, "Luis played a whale of a game, but sometimes individual brilliance is not enough to win... baseball is a team sport... it takes more than just one player to win a game." Luis Galindo singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and doubled in the 9th.
This year Galindo is hitting .354 with 2 home runs and 10 RBIs in 21 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .391 with 5 walks and 14 runs scored.
