Jiménez Takes This Week's Trophy Monday, May 17th, 2027 At the age of 26, Gilberto Jiménez might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The New York right fielder put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .480 batting average. For his efforts Jiménez collected the Roberto Clemente League Player of the Week Award. He racked up 12 hits in 25 at-bats, 4 home runs and 10 RBIs last week in 6 games. Presently Jiménez is batting .373 and has collected 13 home runs, 27 RBIs, .405 OBP and scored 31 runs. |
