Toreros End Simmons's Streak Saturday, May 15th, 2027 The Cabo San Lucas Toreros got more than a 3-1 victory over Quebec today at Lucky 7 Ballpark. They put an end to Lyle Simmons's 25-game hitting spree by holding him without a hit in 3 at-bats. But it was no big deal to the Armada right fielder. Simmons seemed to feel more for his team than himself. "I had some great looks at some pitches that I should have hit. I missed some that I shouldn't have swung at. All in all, I wasn't much help with the bat today." So far this season Simmons has hit .333 with 2 home runs, 10 RBIs and and scored 17 times. |
