Hit #2500 for Mafia Mora Saturday, April 10th, 2027 By going 2-for-4 in the New York 13-2 win over Chicago, Jorge Mora reached the 2500-hit mark. The Don Corleone Park fans, friend and foe, burst into applause and Mora's teammates hugged and congratulated him on his achievement. "The guys began the countdown weeks ago," said the newest member of the 2500 Club. "I don't know who was more excited -- them or me." Mora's all-time stats include: 2500 hits, 351 doubles, 36 triples, 403 home runs and 1438 RBIs in 2000 games. He is batting .331 with 39 stolen bases and has scored 1433 runs. |
