Best out of a Job; Chicago Looking for Skipper
Sunday, November 8th, 2026
Critics and second-guessers of Bill Best can rejoice -- his tenure in Chicago is over. He was fired as the Titans manager today.
According to one player, who requested anonymity, the decision was long overdue.
"I never really agreed with his decisions and I think he's cost us a lot of games with the way he manages," the player said. "I like Bill as a person, but as a manager I don't think he's the right person to run this baseball team."
When told of the anonymous comment, Best took the high road.
"I don't really need to get into a war of words with someone, I have no comment on that. Basically, the front office has made their decision and that's that. No discussion needed," he said.
