Monday, September 22nd, 2025
The future looks extremely bright for Si-dao Chi. At the age of 19, many players are still trying to find their way in NIPPON BASEBALL LEAGUE.
Chi has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the Pacific League Silver Slugger Award.
"I didn't expect to hit .379 this year, that's for sure," the right fielder said.
The Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks star also put up a .476 on-base percentage this year, with 102 hits, 18 doubles, no triples, 31 home runs, 89 RBIs and 67 runs scored.
Morihiro Yamasaki of the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles finished second in voting, while Cheol-chung Ch'oe of the Chiba Lotte Marines finished third.
