Central League Winner is Okada Monday, August 11th, 2025 Pitchers who faced the Tokyo Yakult Swallows last week were happy to see Sakutaro Okada in the rear view mirror. The 18-year-old left fielder was dubbed the Central League Player of the Week for a 4-game tear that saw him hit at a .529 clip. For the week he also chalked up 9 hits in 17 at-bats, 1 home run, 5 RBIs and 7 runs scored. For the season Okada is currently batting .352 with 7 home runs and 26 RBIs. In 30 games he has reached base at a .481 rate and scored 31 runs to date. |
