Guo Bangs Out 6 Base Hits Saturday, August 2nd, 2025 Shao-zu Guo got the glory and the headlines today, while the Yokohama Bay Stars got the win. The Yomiuri first baseman easily handled Bay Stars pitching, going 6 for 6, but the Giants came out on the short end of the score 8-6. He told BNN reporters in the postgame interview, "I'm glad I got the hits, but I would trade three or four of 'em for a win... maybe even all 6 of 'em." The Giants skipper added, "Well, it's a shame we didn't get the victory today, especially with his standout performance. Let's just hope our team can do better tomorrow." Shao-zu Guo hit a solo-shot off Hyun-jung Kim in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Batting .305 to date, Guo has 3 home runs and 15 RBIs. |
