Player of the Week: Saitama Seibu's Imai Monday, July 21st, 2025 So far in his young career, Teinosuke Imai has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Pacific League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 19-year-old Saitama Seibu Lions second baseman hit at a torrid .500 clip as he collected 6 hits in 12 at-bats, 2 home runs, 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored. This year Imai is batting .319 with 22 hits and 2 home runs. He has scored 11 times and has batted in 14 runs. |
