CL Honors Hiroshima Toyo First Baseman Monday, May 19th, 2025 The Central League presented its Player of the Week Award to Hiroshima Toyo Carp first baseman Kijuro Masuda. "His numbers speak for themselves," a club publicist said. "He's been really seeing the ball well." Indeed, Masuda has. Last week he went 9 for 25, batted .360 with 4 home runs and 9 RBIs. Thus far this season Masuda is hitting .328 with 20 home runs, 52 RBIs and 40 runs scored. He has 58 hits in 177 at-bats and has played in 47 games. |
