Mengal Dominates in 9-4 Win over Central League All-Stars Saturday, May 17th, 2025 There's a whole lot of pride on the line when the best baseball players throughout NIPPON BASEBALL LEAGUE gather for the all-star game. It was no different this year, as the Pacific League bested the Central League by a score of 9-4, in a spirited contest played at Ballpark of Aomori College. "It might be a little lower intensity than the regular season or playoffs, but everyone in that clubhouse still wants to win this game," said Aftab Mengal of the Pacific League, who was named the game MVP. Mengal is batting .276 with 349 career base hits, including 49 doubles, 2 triples and 114 home runs with 312 RBIs and 263 runs scored. He has played in 347 games, stolen 0 bases and compiled a .402 OBP. |
