Hawks Come up Short of Playoffs Thursday, May 15th, 2025 Si-dao Chi of the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks said it's a "bitter disappointment" for he and his teammates to not make the playoffs. But that's what they are now having to deal with as the club was mathematically eliminated today. Before this season, the Hawks last missed the playoffs in 2023. In the 13 years they have been a NIPPON BASEBALL LEAGUE franchise, they have missed the playoffs 10 times. In the last 10 years, they have missed the playoffs 7 times. Fukuoka SoftBank last won the Japan Series Championship in 2024. |
