Arata Shimizu Out for 18 Months Saturday, May 3rd, 2025 The Yomiuri Giants will be without the services of Arata Shimizu for 18 months after an incident in a game against the Tokyo Yakult Swallows. The 18-year-old starting pitcher was injured while throwing a pitch and suffered a damaged elbow ligament. In 11 starts this year Shimizu has recorded a 3-3 record and a 4.09 ERA. |
