Araki Whacks 3 out of the Park for Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Thursday, May 1st, 2025 It was a good day for Hokkaido Nippon-Ham and an exceptional day for Tetsuzan Araki. The 21-year-old catcher sent three bombs out of the park to help the Fighters beat the Chiba Lotte Marines 12-7 at Ballpark of Nasu College. Following the game, he was asked about his performance. "When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Araki commented, "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day." For the day he scored 4 times, drove in 5 runs and smacked 3 hits in 3 at-bats. Tetsuzan Araki hit a two-run home run off Tsuneari Aoki in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Tsuneari Aoki in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Tsuneari Aoki in the 5th, walked in the 6th, walked in the 7th and walked in the 9th. So far in 2025 Araki is batting .256 with 8 home runs, 27 RBIs and 26 runs scored. He has 40 hits in 156 at-bats and a .376 OBP. |
