Hamada Goes on Rampage Against Fighters Friday, March 14th, 2025 "Ever since I picked up my first bat my coaches were always saying to keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing... just make contact and ya never know what'll happen," Ichizo Hamada told reporters after the game. "That's all I did today. I made contact and it turned out well." It definitely turned out well for the ORIX second baseman today as he collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats against Hokkaido Nippon-Ham. But not so good for his team, as the Fighters took the game at Ballpark of Hakui College, whipping the Buffaloes 11-7. Ichizo Hamada singled in the 1st, tripled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Takashi Oshima in the 8th and singled in the 9th. Thus far this season Hamada has hit .464 with 1 home run, 8 RBIs and scored 8 times. |
