Hiroshima Toyo Starter Named CL's #1 Pitcher Sunday, September 1st, 2024 In August, Yoshiki Sato tore through the Central League like a seasoned veteran -- quite impressive for a player only 18 years old. The young Hiroshima Toyo starter posted a 2-0 mark and an ERA of 1.88 to earn the Pitcher of the Month award. In 14.1 innings he collected 23 strikeouts while limiting the opposition to a .200 average. This year Sato has posted a 3-3 mark in 8 starts and has a 3.23 ERA. |
